Need some help designing your case? Take a look at our Frequently Asked Questions.
Q: Will my design cover the whole case?A: Our design tool has a pink line and a blue line to help you with the placement of your design. Any important elements of your design, such as faces, text, and logos, must be kept within the pink lines to ensure that they are printed fully. The blue line indicates the entire printable area. To avoid any awkward blank spaces, extend your graphics to the blue line for seamless coverage.
Q: Why will the design tool not allow me to expand my file any larger?A: Our tool allows image expansion up to a point, but will stop you when the file starts to lose quality.
Q: Which file types can the design tool accept?A: Our design tool accepts .jpeg, .jpg, .png or .gif files.
Q: I want to create my design using a different program (Photoshop, Illustrator etc). What are the specifications?A: You can create your design in any other program, as long as it's saved as .jpg, .jpeg, .gif or .png. Simply upload it to the design tool, and you're good to go! For best results, ensure your image has a print quality of at least 150dpi (dots per inch) for smartphone cases, and 300dpi for all other cases. Feel free to email our customer service with any other design-related questions, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Q: Why won't my image upload?-A: Probably because it's too big. Make sure it's under 12MB and try again. It could also be due to a wrong file format - make sure your file is .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, or .png.
Q: How do I know if my graphic will print clearly?A: As a general rule, if your image looks crisp when it is at a large size on your computer screen, then it will print clearly. However, we recommend that you use an image with at least 150dpi (dots per inch) for smartphone cases, and 300dpi for all other cases.
Q: Will the colors of my design look the same on my finished case?A: We make every effort to reproduce your design as closely as possible. Please bear in mind that our designs are printed onto fabric, so this can occasionally alter color slightly. Also be aware that individual computer settings can alter the way a color appears on screen. You could also use a HEX code to ensure an exact color match from computer to print.
Q: Why can't I place images and text over an artist's work?A: Certain artists have placed editing restrictions on their work. We love our artistic community and respect their creative wishes.
Q: Can I get help with designing my case?A: As a courtesy, we offer basic help and advice when designing your case. However, if your design requires customized re-working and extra design we charge a $50 artwork assistance fee to cover this service. Again, get in touch with us at email@example.com and include your specific design details and requirements.
